The effort everyone makes should be acknowledged and be they spectators or float entrants. We will welcome you all to Ballyleague and Lanesboro for our parade and we hope you have a fun filled and pleasant day in our community

Death

It was with great sadness and regret we learned of the death at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin on Wednesday last 7th March of Maura Harold, Main St. Maura was predeceased by her daughter Maeve. She was a lady of quiet disposition. Maura was a native of Kilrooskey and in her earlier life was a very popular teacher in Cloontuskert National School. Maura was a lady of great grace, elegance character and style, the perfect lady. Maura was the quintessential family woman. She was a great conversationalist she would converse on the broadest of subjects and it was always a pleasure chatting with her. Maura was a woman who loved to travel as she felt it broadened her horizons. She was a true, loyal friend and neighbour and those of us that knew Maura will all be the poor by her absence.

He remains reposed at her residence on Friday last and her remains were removed to St. Mary’s Church on Saturday for her Funeral Mass. Following her Mass, her remains were laid to rest in Clonbonny Cemetery. To her husband, James, sons John, Alan and Jimmy, brothers Dermott and Cyril, relatives and many friends we extend our deepest sympathy.
