Death

The sudden death took place on Monday 20th May of Mrs. Gertrude Murray, St. Mary’s Terrace, Ballyleague. She was predeceased a number of years back by her husband John. The Murray family lived in Ballyleague before leaving the community but in later years following the death of her husband John, Gertrude returned to the same house as she left a number of years previous. She was a warm friendly lady with a wonderful warm demeanour and very popular in the community. Gertrude was a woman who loved to play bingo and was a regular at local bingo games. She will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her. Her remains reposed at her home on Wednesday last before being removed on Thursday to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Ballyleague for the Mass of the Resurrection. Following Mass, her remains were removed for cremation to Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin.

To her daughters Mary and Michelle, sons Charles, Sean, Michael and Tim, sister Aileen, relatives and many friends we extend our sincere sympathy.
