Lanesboro Ballyleague Notes

Think Tank

The Think Tank held on Saturday last was a great success. Being the initial event, we entered it with trepidation, but we had no need to worry was wonderful. Longford and Roscommon county council initiated the collaboration programme and to date it has been a very proactive group.

Saturday was our first public venture and the response of so many people was fantastic, and the positivity was astounding. Those that attended despite many other local attractions and those that emailed their views must be commended.

We were astounded with the quality of ideas and also the quality of people in attendance and in their absence that have offered their invaluable experiences gained over the years. Judging by the response over the past 24hours Lanesboro/Ballyleague collaboration seem to have made a huge impact locally, nationally and internationally and now I hope we can make the same impact nationally and internationally.

As I write we are preparing to meet the IDA and Enterprise Ireland on Monday with a number of the ideas and proposals for Lanesboro and Ballyleague. We are hoping that we can make both austere organisations realise that Lanesboro/Ballyleague is now the place to place to direct business.

Come along with us and create a community that will be a spectacular place to live and work in. Finally, I would like to thank everyone that attended, made contributions and helped in any way. A special word to our facilitator Geraldine Steward, Longford and Tracy Keogh, Grow Remote on her talk on working remotely.
