Gaeilge -ár dteanga

Confused?
“I’ve no time at present to get a present for Peter, but I’ll get something presently and
present it to him this evening, if he’s present.” said Paul………or something like that.
Labhair Gaeilge. Tá sí níos éasca.
Junior performs great in Irish Trials

Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre, Nottingham, England was the venue for the Irish team trials for the 2013 World Freestyle Championships to be held in the USA. Local man Junior Hannon, Ballyleague made the long journey to partake in the trials. Considering this was only the second time Junior competed in the freestyle completion his performance was remarkable. He was very unlucky not to make it into the team as he was just a couple of points away from qualification.

Junior can be seen working with many groups in the community teaching them to canoe and kayak and is very involved especially with the Ballyboro Scouts – some of who performed brilliantly in the recent Liffey decent.

We are all hoping that a withdrawal will see Junior called into the Irish team and make that once in a lifetime trip to represent his country in the USA.

The picture below shows Junior in action during the trials.
